Halloween Pictures that I couldn't resist

Alright I know that I am really late on this one, but how could I not share this cuteness?!?  Dawson and his cousin, Rockwell, were playing around after the pumpkin carving was done.  Dawson was a good sport, but was somewhat embarrassed at how big I had to cut his leg holes.

I have to say the look on his face says it all.  "Mommy, you always clean my butt when it feels like this..."

Pictures with Santa take two!

We had pictures with Santa, but I just really wanted the tradition of going to see Santa at his remote location in South Towne Mall.  Dawson loves Santa.  He just wants to look at him instead of the camera.  The pictures turned out so darling!  I just love that kid!

A Horseback Riding Lesson

I know that this was a long time ago, but how can pictures this cute not be posted?  My brother, Coy, has horses and so we took Dawson riding when he was six months old.  He did great!  I think his mother may have been a whole lot more nervous than Dawson was.  He had a great time cruising up Rose Canyon on the mountain trail that Coy loves so much.  We rode for about two hours before Dawson was done!  He was absolutely amazing and made it so that Uncle Coy said he could be his new ridin' buddy!  Man I sure love that kid!!!

New Puppies

So we recently had new puppies!  Emmy went into labor two days early while we were at my school Christmas production.  We don'y know how long she was in labor as the puppy was breech and stuck when we got home.  I frantically called my mother yo come help!  We delivered 4 healthy puppies by sometime that next morning (I couldn't say when as I went to bed around 1 am).

Sunday we ended up with Emmy in the pet emergency room!  Because the puppies were so healthy, they essentially sucked all her calcium dry.  Emmy was seizing and twitching uncontrollably when we got home from church.  The made her stay all night hooked up to monitors and iv's.
Which meant we got to feed the pups! It sounds more fun than it was.  We were up every two hour feeding and it took about thirty minutes to finish one session.

The puppies are doing great now and boy are they cute!

Santa Baby!

Dawson with Santa and Mrs. Claus!  He loves them!

Okay!  I just can't get over this cute baby!

So you may or may not know that I was in charge of the Christmas program at my school.  We won't talk about that, but we will talk about the pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus that were available at the event.  My baby was the absolute hit of the night!

Here is Dawson with his first attempt at vegetables!  He swatted at them very first and that is what ended up on his bib.  Daddy was so excited and that makes Dawson thrilled to try whatever Daddy feeds him.  Daddy wouldn't give him "yucky" stuff, right?!?

You really expect me to eat this stuff?  I think it looks better like this.  You just let me send this to the magazines and this will be the new face of nutrition campaigns all over the world.
Dawson really was a good sport trying the green beans. I was told to start with the not so yummy vegetables to that they food can only get better!

This would be Dawson gagging on the taste of green beans.  I am assuming that he is like his parents in the taste for this awful vegetable.

Still trying just to make my parents happy.

Dawson has been so great while we were moving in.  We put him in his jumper and he wasn't thrilled that we weren't holding him.  He really wants to be doing whatever we are. Which is challenging when we are moving boxes and large furniture pieces.

Next time we checked in with Dawson he was thrilled that he was able to jump without hitting into the door frame.  Our master bed room has a double entrance so he can go crazy jumping and not hit his fingers.

He was in the jumper for about thirty minutes and this is what we finally found.  How sweet!  He jumped himself to sleep!  I just love this kid!

New House!

I have to say that moving into my new house has been so much fun!  Of course I am thrilled with the closet.  I think I combined all the closets from the old house and put it in the master.  I even get my shoes in the master.
I am really thrilled with my new kitchen.  This shows you just a portion of the fabulousness!  I have two ovens and one is convection (not that I know how to use it, so if you have any pointers let me know!) I love the staggered cabinets.  Finally I can decorate the kitchen for the seasons!

Can I just say that my family room seems to have been made for the furniture we already had.  Granted, there may not be enough stuff yet, but don't you worry!  I will be working on filling this house for a long time!

First foods!

Wow! Where do I begin! So much has happened since I posted last. I am obviously far behind in my updates.  Dawson tried his first solids.  He is a big fan of food!  I guess he really does take after me!  He loved his rice cereal.  We have since gone on to Oatmeal and a first vegetable.  I will post pictures of that.  He is soooo cute!

Last Night in Our Home

I can't tell you what a whirlwind this move has been. Seriously though, as it is coming to a close and I am realizing that A- I don't have a home to go to and B- I really like this home I am really sad. I can't believe that someone else will be living in the home that Doug and I built. (Okay we didn't build it, but we picked everything and did some of the design options.) I will miss many things about our first home and then there are things that I will be glad to be rid of. I really hated the swinging doors. Doug called them ghost doors. I will NOT miss those. Here are some of the things I will miss.

Moving... part 2

I really am humbled at how amazing it is to have such great family members. I was stretched so thin, I really didn't think I would be able to get the house read for the walk through that was supposed to happen today. Help just appeared! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to those of you who came to help. I always struggle asking for help so it is nice to have such great family that just knows. I really could not have held myself together without the strength of my mother these last few weeks. I hope that I can be the kind of woman she is someday! I know that is what I am working towards. I just needed to take a moment to reflect how truly blessed I am to have family. Even more I am so grateful for a husband who can put up with my tyrades and tantrums. By the way, sorry for the bean bag. Love to all! I am feeling much better. Thanks again!!!

Moving...

I don't know what I was thinking! I encouraged Doug to sell our house! I am just about ready to break down from trying to put this move together. I love my husband dearly, but he suffers from a bad case of procrastination. I suffer from pack rat syndrome and the two problems are not making this move go well. We have so much stuff! The problem really comes down to no place to move it to! I will be homeless and trying to farm out all my stuff to husband approved locations. (For some reason he doesn't want to take anything to my mother's) I am at the breaking point and see no end in sight!

Thanks for letting me vent... I wish I felt better. But as my mom keeps telling me, "This too shall pass."

Just some fun pictures of my little man...

I love this picture!  I think it is the epitome of
the hot man that I love so much!

I think the face says everything!  I don't think
he likes the tie.

I am playing!  I love my toys!

I would really like to play with your toys!

I am awake!  Would you pick me up?
