New Toys!!S

Dawson got a ball pit a couple weeks ago.  He LOVES it! It really gives us some entertainment as Dawson will belly flop into the door as if he were jumping into a pool.  He will sit there for a minute and then wildly flail around.

What is Daddy doing inside my ball pit?!?

Dawson also got a big boy slide.  He hasn't quite figured out the best way to go down, but he is still entertaining his parents.  We just sit and laugh as he goes down in the splits.

The Aftermath!

Before......After...

A day at the museum really makes for a good nap!

Dinosaur Museum Part 2

Next we went to the sand discovery zone.  Dawson was really funny.  He simply couldn't believe that I was letting him get in this stuff.

He and Rockwell did a great job figuring out how to use the brushes to uncover the fossils.  I thought this picture was quite cute.  It looks like Rockwell is telling Dawson the tricks.

Let's not forget Boston.  I think this picture was just before he put sand on Dawson's head.  I love how fun kids are.  It is so great to have so many cousins so close in age!

Again here is Dawson just awe struck that I would let him in this place and not be yelling at him.

Still amazed!!

So once we got all the kids to where we could get them out without too much interruption, we tried to get a group photo.

And we tried....

and tried.....

And finally decided that we would just have to deal with the candid shots that show their fun personalities.

I finally wised up and was able to get a picture of Dawson by the big shark.  Why don't I just do this at the beginning?

I do love this picture though.  Dawson and his cousin Boston!  Please notice that Dawson is trying to hold hands!  I think the look Boston has is priceless.  "Quit touching me!!"

Dinosaur Museum

A couple weeks ago we went with the cousins to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point.  Dawson had a wonderful time!  I have to admit that his favorite part was not looking at the exhibits or playing in the hands on areas, no it would be running through the long hallways.  He would just run and run.  He wouldn't even look back to see if anyone he knew was around.  I have a fearless child that is going to get into trouble someday.

Here are some of my best photos of Dawson.
Pose for the camera... Wait! Come back here!!!

So once I figured out that I had to be more in charge, I decided to get serious about pictures.  I would just have to strap him in and point him at what he should be looking at.  I think that says a lot for my parenting style.

We had a good time playing in the hands on exhibits too.
Dawson was the busy body, of course, and wouldn't pose for the pictures.  In fact Aunt Sheryl really had to work to even keep him in the center of the water table.

Idol Issues

ADAM LAMBERT!!!

I am still having a little let down with how American Idol turned out this year.  I have done my research and still feel that Adam should have won.  I just want people to see his amazing theatre endeavors!

My Musicial Man!

video
Dawson is very into music.  He loves to play it and create it.  We were strumming Daddy's guitar and I went to get the camera as a good Mother would.  When I can back, I find Dawson on top of the guitar dancing away.  I had to just laugh as he was trying to play with his feet.  I know you all feel bad that he hit his head.  I did check on him and then started the camera again.

He of course gave me the hand to try to cover the camera so I couldn't get the picture to embarrass him.  I got the video going again.

Playin' in the Backyard

Dawson decided to go outside and play in the backyard with Daddy.  This is what our backyard looks like, so naturally the baby had to get a little dirty.  I have to admit that I didn't expect him to eat the mud though!
