Corn on the Cob

I have to say it is so cute to see Dawson taking on the challenge of eating corn on the cob!  He is so cute doing it.  He holds the handles and tries to fit the whole thing in his mouth.  Gets off a few kernels and goes for round two.  He actually did really well with this piece.  That was until he pulled the handle out and almost stabbed himself with it.  Ah kids!

New Toys!!S

Dawson got a ball pit a couple weeks ago.  He LOVES it! It really gives us some entertainment as Dawson will belly flop into the door as if he were jumping into a pool.  He will sit there for a minute and then wildly flail around.

What is Daddy doing inside my ball pit?!?

Dawson also got a big boy slide.  He hasn't quite figured out the best way to go down, but he is still entertaining his parents.  We just sit and laugh as he goes down in the splits.

The Aftermath!

Before......After...

A day at the museum really makes for a good nap!

Dinosaur Museum Part 2

Next we went to the sand discovery zone.  Dawson was really funny.  He simply couldn't believe that I was letting him get in this stuff.

He and Rockwell did a great job figuring out how to use the brushes to uncover the fossils.  I thought this picture was quite cute.  It looks like Rockwell is telling Dawson the tricks.

Let's not forget Boston.  I think this picture was just before he put sand on Dawson's head.  I love how fun kids are.  It is so great to have so many cousins so close in age!

Again here is Dawson just awe struck that I would let him in this place and not be yelling at him.

Still amazed!!

So once we got all the kids to where we could get them out without too much interruption, we tried to get a group photo.

And we tried....

and tried.....

And finally decided that we would just have to deal with the candid shots that show their fun personalities.

I finally wised up and was able to get a picture of Dawson by the big shark.  Why don't I just do this at the beginning?

I do love this picture though.  Dawson and his cousin Boston!  Please notice that Dawson is trying to hold hands!  I think the look Boston has is priceless.  "Quit touching me!!"

Dinosaur Museum

A couple weeks ago we went with the cousins to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point.  Dawson had a wonderful time!  I have to admit that his favorite part was not looking at the exhibits or playing in the hands on areas, no it would be running through the long hallways.  He would just run and run.  He wouldn't even look back to see if anyone he knew was around.  I have a fearless child that is going to get into trouble someday.

Here are some of my best photos of Dawson.
Pose for the camera... Wait! Come back here!!!

So once I figured out that I had to be more in charge, I decided to get serious about pictures.  I would just have to strap him in and point him at what he should be looking at.  I think that says a lot for my parenting style.

We had a good time playing in the hands on exhibits too.
Dawson was the busy body, of course, and wouldn't pose for the pictures.  In fact Aunt Sheryl really had to work to even keep him in the center of the water table.
