Dream Dinner

I have always wanted to go to the most romantic restaurant in the Salt Lake area.  Doug has been with a high school date, but I never have.  I was so thrilled when for my birthday I got a gift certificate to La Caille!  I was so excited but everyone said to wait until Spring to enjoy the grounds too.  It was beautiful.  I had Alaskan king crab cakes, wilted spinach salad, and filet mignion.  Doug had some portobello mushroom vegetable stack, butter lettuce salad, and an amazing chicken thingy.  I have to say that my favorite part was the menu where they didn't list the price.  It was for the lobster and the price just said, "financing available." I laughed so hard!  We asked and they said that the price changes with the market rate, so it is just easier not to have to reprint every time it does change.  I also was incredibly impressed with the fact that I got a black napkin and Doug got a white napkin.  I couldn't understand why I was the only one in the room with a black napkin.  We again had to ask why.  It was because I was wearing a black skirt.  They didn't want the white napkin to leave lint on my black skirt.  Fancy hun!!

My Mother's Day Wow!!

Doug is such a funny character.  He makes me think that he has totally forgotten about Mother's Day then surprises me!  He called Friday after school and said call this number and say you would like to set an appointment to look at the posting she has on KSL.  This is what we came home with!!

Are you ready?

I have been wanting an SUV for about two years now!  Doug said that I could have one when we were married for two years.... then said I could get one when I graduated with my Masters degree.... then we said we would get one when Dawson was born.... then we said I could either have a new house or a new car.  I figured this was out of the question for a while.  Especially because I wanted all the bells and whistles!  I am so excited!! It is everything I asked for and a whole lot more.  In fact, I don't know what all the bells and whistles actually do!  Thanks Doug!

High flying adored...

Dawson is one that is so talented, we just don't know what he will become!  Flying trapeze artist... Sky diver... Stunt man... 

The possibilities are endless!

Kids are great!

So Dawson was playing in his "drawer." When all the sudden he got quiet for a long time.  He of course was still moving and making crashing sounds, but he wasn't singing like he normally does. (I say singing, because I am sure he doesn't mean to scream all the time!)  So I stop my dinner plans and go check on him...

What do I find???

Mr. Blue Mouth!

Dawson was eating crayons!  I have no idea how he was able to get it out of the baby style holder.  I really have an amazing child !  He doesn't color on the walls (yet!) but he just decides to color his teeth!

This picture really just makes me happy.  It must have been a proud moment for Dawson to show off his artistic abilities.  He is such a cute little kid!  What did I do without him?!?
