Big Day!

Doug and I have been married four and a half years now! I can't believe it has been that long! I love him so much. We have essentially brought two boys into our lives. Finally we have decided that it might be something that is working. We will be sealing our family together for eternity! Please understand that the picture is as good as you can look when you are one month away from a baby!

Two years old!

Dawson is two years old today! I am amazed at how much our lives have changed. I don't know what we would do without you. Enjoy the pictures that make me think of our past time with Dawson.

Where's Dawson?

So I lost Dawson for a few minutes when I was getting ready to load into the car. I found him in the garage (not his normal hiding place). He decided that he didn't want to drive in Mommy's car. He wanted to ride on the scooter! I hope this isn't indicative of his future driving preferences!!

Christmas Morning Pictures

I just had to! How can you pass up a smile this funny? I don't know why he was smiling like this for the camera, but I am game!

He loved opening presents once he figure out we were okay with it this time.

Setting up the Christmas Tree

So Dawson was most helpful in setting up the Christmas Tree. He was really excited when we started pulling things out of the storage totes.

He tried to cuddle it and decided it wasn't very soft.

He realized that Daddy didn't know it wasn't soft and was possibly being attacked and overwhelmed by the pokey stuff!

"Don't worry, Daddy! I will save you!" Dawson started pulling on Doug's pants and crying until Doug finally started to back out from under the tree.

You can see Dawson actually PULLING as hard as he can to help the process! He didn't want to grow up without a father!

Tragedy averted! Things are okay!

Halloween in March?!?

So we finally downloaded pictures from the camera. I feel that these were cute enough that I needed to post them even if they are five months late!

We visited Grandma Barnson! She loves me!

We got all kinds of treats! This one tastes like paper though....

Daddy, giraffes don't fly!

They live in a zoo, like this!

And they make noises like this!!!

It's is out!

Much to Doug's dismay, I am officially telling the world we are pregnant!  I am thrilled that I am starting to feel better.  We had our first appointment and things look great.  Due date will be May 27, 2010.  Wish us luck with Dawson and the new baby!

Loves to be outside!

Dawson LOVES to be outside.  He is so funny though.  He would rather play in the mud and dirt then be on the grass. We really enjoy playing with balls.  He is getting pretty good at his soccer dribble.  His baseball throw still needs some work.
He definitely has his hands all over the volleyball!  He loves to play with anything that he can pick up and chase.
My favorite thing is of course....
Sticking his tongue out!  He is so funny when he shows you his tongue that I ask him to do it all the time!  I sure love this kid!

Hair Cut...

So Dawson has been "growing" his hair out simply because he has a mother that never schedules him a hair cut.  I cut his hair the last time simply because I seem to be a spontaneous person lately.  I know some of you may not believe that...

You will notice that Dawson it not too happy about the fact his lovely locks will be disappearing.  He keeps trying to get the combs so that I can't continue on my process.

Fortunately, I planned for that and had a bundle of combs to make my process easy.  He is just so much fun!

I think that he is considering hair design as a possible career choice.

Suessical

Many of you may know that Doug was asked to become a part of Sandy City's production of Suessical.  Meri, his sister, Jaron, his nephew, and Brienna, his niece were in it too.  He played a Wickersham Brother which is very athletic.  I love watching him, but didn't love hearing him complain about his body hurting.  I didn't understand why he was complaining until I saw the preview night.  He was all over the place in monkey style.  I'd like to quote Rose in Twighlight... "My monkey man!!!"

Corn on the Cob

I have to say it is so cute to see Dawson taking on the challenge of eating corn on the cob!  He is so cute doing it.  He holds the handles and tries to fit the whole thing in his mouth.  Gets off a few kernels and goes for round two.  He actually did really well with this piece.  That was until he pulled the handle out and almost stabbed himself with it.  Ah kids!

New Toys!!S

Dawson got a ball pit a couple weeks ago.  He LOVES it! It really gives us some entertainment as Dawson will belly flop into the door as if he were jumping into a pool.  He will sit there for a minute and then wildly flail around.

What is Daddy doing inside my ball pit?!?

Dawson also got a big boy slide.  He hasn't quite figured out the best way to go down, but he is still entertaining his parents.  We just sit and laugh as he goes down in the splits.

The Aftermath!

Before......After...

A day at the museum really makes for a good nap!

Dinosaur Museum Part 2

Next we went to the sand discovery zone.  Dawson was really funny.  He simply couldn't believe that I was letting him get in this stuff.

He and Rockwell did a great job figuring out how to use the brushes to uncover the fossils.  I thought this picture was quite cute.  It looks like Rockwell is telling Dawson the tricks.

Let's not forget Boston.  I think this picture was just before he put sand on Dawson's head.  I love how fun kids are.  It is so great to have so many cousins so close in age!

Again here is Dawson just awe struck that I would let him in this place and not be yelling at him.

Still amazed!!

So once we got all the kids to where we could get them out without too much interruption, we tried to get a group photo.

And we tried....

and tried.....

And finally decided that we would just have to deal with the candid shots that show their fun personalities.

I finally wised up and was able to get a picture of Dawson by the big shark.  Why don't I just do this at the beginning?

I do love this picture though.  Dawson and his cousin Boston!  Please notice that Dawson is trying to hold hands!  I think the look Boston has is priceless.  "Quit touching me!!"
